From June 2019 - June 2020, I served the national public with the AmeriCorps VISTA program. During this year-long term, I was hosted at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis as the Marketing & Communications Coordinator! If you saw any posts, received emails, a marketing call, or donation ask, I was probably the one tethered on the other side.
This experience drastically altered in two main date ranges that I will dub B.C. and D.C., or rather, "Before COVID" and "After COVID". Being in and functioning in the nonprofit world centered around the greater Indianapolis community and its children proved to be the challenge that crept up and attacked all those running social strategy and resource development for human-centric organizations. Below, you will find sample posts separated between these two times, one of daily expectations and the other of vast flexibility in the (still very) uncertain and frightening times of a pandemic. Please, be known that I can only share my experience during this time in my professional career and it does not speak for anybody else related to any topic, organization, company, or concept discussed, whether it be in the post shared or not. I thank you, here, for your understanding. Now! See some of the top posts from various months during this year by scrolling through.
